African Game Tannery | Swartruggens, North West Province

They specialise in the tanning and sale of all hides as well as the packaging and transport of hides.They are an all-round fur and leather tannery, specialising in the tanning of fur-on game skins and Nguni hides which are particularly popular with interior decorators.

The North-West province’s game farms are visited annually by  foreign hunters as well as local biltong hunters, and George Bester, owner of African Game Tannery and a farmer of Nguni cattle, prides himself in the quality of tanned fur-on Nguni hides that he supplies to the public.

Continuously experimenting with the latest tanning chemicals, the Tannery provides its customers with the best quality product they can offer.

Focusing mainly on the Nile Crocodile, the raw skins coming mainly from their own crocodile farm, produce high quality exotic leather for the luxury and fashion industries. The raw skins are processed in their own Tannery which is on the breeding farm.Le Croc came into existence in 1982 and the tannery was established in 2007 and equipped with the latest technology equipment.
